VERITY AUDIO
Verity Audio Holiday Tour
December 28, 2006 – Review by Sandy Greene

“I always justified my not being able to afford this type of gear with the feeling that what I could afford was close enough. Well now I have heard exactly why people are so crazy for this super high-end stuff, and I am stuck trying to figure out a way, besides playing the lottery, that I could ever afford such a reference system. Man, Verity Audio is one “Together” company“

Lohengrin in Son & Image
November/December 2002 – (English translation) By Reinhard Goerner

« I must recommend to anyone to give the Lohengrins a good listen at the first occasion; better yet, look for that occasion! Returning home from such an event will be akin to coming home from a great trip, your life enriched by an unforgettable experience. Go to the concert hall more often, the result will be alike. For the music lover who does have the means to do so, there’s no excuse not to take these speakers home… still, don’t miss out on to the concert hall.”

Sarastro 2006 Award Winner in Soundtage
Review by Frank Peraino

“…if you prefer a girl-next-door natural beauty with inner qualities to last a lifetime, assuming you have the resources, the Sarastro may be your dream date. The more time you spend with the Sarastros, the more you will appreciate what they can do. I grew to admire many things about them, including their honest tonality and beautiful midrange. In this hyped-up audio world of exaggerated resolution and analytical "hi-fi" sound, the Verity Audio Sarastro stands out as a balanced, honest, stunningly beautiful performer that will make you want to remain speaker monogamous.”

Sarastro in Stereophile
March 2005 – Review by Michael Fremer

“Connoisseurs of live recordings will find the Sarastros' renderings of Carnegie Hall classics and of live recordings in general, to be spectacularly natural, detailed, and believable... I went through a slew of these in one late night session, ending with 'Ben Webster at the Renaissance'. It brought the defunct club and Webster back to life almost too convincingly. It was creepy. I was afraid a waitress would tap me on the shoulder and ask for my next drink order... The Verity Audi Sarastro provided among the most pleasurable listening experiences in my long audiophile life.”

Sarastro in Enjoy the Music
March/April 2005 – Rreview by George Pappas

“You might ask, "Is any speaker worth this much?" ...compared to other speakers in this price range, the Sarastros provide solid engineering, superlative drivers, flawless cabinetry and finishing. They are gorgeous... Very important to note also, the Audiotechnology drivers and the Raven ribbon tweeter are very expensive. They cost several times the price of drivers that are used in other speakers of this price range, including some $60,000.00 speakers I know. For what you get compared to other speakers, the Sarastros are very good value for your money.”

“I've heard other speakers in this price range... Many of the high-priced speakers including the Wilson Audio's, along with the Thiels, sound too precise and very analytical, to my ears at least. They simply don't have the marriage of transparency with musicality. I am not saying that these competing speakers are not good. They are. I'm simply saying that I would rather listen to the great combination of transparency and musicality that the Sarastros provide. In short, truly an impressive world-class loudspeaker. I absolutely would not buy a speaker in its price range without doing whatever it takes to listen to the Sarastros. They are such a significant speaker. Even if you are not in the market to buy or even to afford them, I highly encourage you to go and listen to them. The pleasure and the grin from-ear-to-ear will be worth it.”

Parsifal Ovation in Soundstage - Part two
December 2005 – Verity Audio Parsifal Ovation Loudspeakers by Jason Thorpe

"…We sat there in quiet, contemplative silence for an entire side of this dramatic and devastatingly sorrowful album, and when it ended, I was distinctly misty-eyed. There's space galore on Tango: Zero Hour, and the Parsifal Ovations floated every instrument clear of its position, giving an unparalleled wall-to-wall image spread…"

"…Having never heard a speaker whose bass sounds as consistently right in my room as the Parsifal Ovation's, I'm forced to wonder if maybe Verity isn't on to something with this rear-firing-woofer thing…"

"…I must have sat there for three hours with a binding-post wrench in my hand while I played those few last albums. "I'll take the speaker down after the next record," I kept promising myself. It was well past 1:00 a.m. on a work night when I began the process, which made for a drowsy morning at the office…"

Parsifal Ovation in Soundstage - Part one
November 2005 – Verity Audio Parsifal Ovation Loudspeakers by Jason Thorpe

"…I think what impressed me most about the sound that I experienced was how much it resembled what I heard many times at shows. While hotel rooms converted into impromptu listening studios are often responsible for some of the most miserable demo environments imaginable, it slowly dawned on me that every room in which I'd heard Verity speakers managed to produce consistent sound. Now, here in a room that was set up optimally, according to the speaker’s own designers, I was hearing that same thing: deep, tight, visceral bass; a smooth, uncolored midrange; extended but totally relaxed highs; and superb imaging. In all, the sonic evenness of these wildly different rooms and systems was uncanny, and it pointed to a speaker that worked with its surroundings, not against them."

Parsifal Encore in Image HIFI (Germany)
February 2000 – by Cai Brockmann

“The delicately balanced tonality of the Parsifal Encore is simply a revelation”
“From a loudspeaker point of view, this modularly designed jewel comes closer to the ultimate than any other loudspeaker”

Parsifal Encore in Ultimate Audio
Winter 1999 – by Lars Fredell

“I have always thought of overall coherence as being one of the Parsifal's principal strengths. Much to my surprise, this has also been improved in the "Encore;" bringing about better definition of the soundspace and its inhabitants. This is quite compelling, as it seems to add a lot of air around the instruments, better sense of soundspace layering and a more natural harmonic content in the music. Perhaps the biggest improvement produced by the "Encore" is in the area of transparency. This was another one of the Parsifal's most obvious virtues. At first, I thought the improved transparency had everything to do with the new tweeter. But, I was only partially right. It's mainly due to a better integration between the woofer and midrange units, permitting less low midrange energy to pass through the woofer.

This has a clarifying and purifying effect on the mids, which manifests itself as a pretty substantial improvement in overall transparency. So, a great speaker has become even greater. You rarely, if ever, see a Parsifal for sale in the secondary market. Listen to it and you'll understand why. The "Encore" upgrade is a must have for all Parsifal owners. Hell, in my view, the Parsifal "Encore" is a must have for all audiophiles!”

Parsifal Encore in FI Magazine
September 1996 – by Lars Fredell

“The Parsifal is a breathtaking creation. As an overall design, I believe that it is one of the best we’ve seen so far. To me it certainly is. The design team seems to have reconsidered every element of the execution, from state of the art cabinetry design through the latest in driver technology, cables and binding posts- all tied together by exceptional crossovers. ”

“They’ll have to knock me unconscious, at the very least, before they’ll be able to remove these speakers from my listening room. Actually, they won’t have to – they are not leaving. I’ll somehow scrape the money and buy them – with a smile”.

Fidelio at Soundstage
September 2000 – Review by Doug Schneider

“While these all may sound like audiophile superlatives, fear not -- the Fidelio is an audiophile speaker that truly serves the music. Along with its high level of sonic refinement, it is also elegantly styled and superbly constructed and will undoubtedly complement the finest décor. If it sounds like I’m gushing over this speaker, I am. The Fidelio is really something special.”

“All in all, the Fidelio is an amazing product. It has most of the virtues of the Parsifal, but at a significantly lower price. ”

“I am not sure that there are many manufacturer out there that can pull off a miracle like that.”

Tamino x2 in Dagogo
August 2006 – “Verity Audio Tamino x2 loudspeaker system:
Perfection for Sandy Greene”

“With the Tamino x2’s, there was now clarity and air that I had not experienced before. The overall sound quality of the album was raised quite a bit through the Tamino x2’s. What great memories though… and thanks to the Verity Audio Tamino x2’s for helping bring them rushing back in great realism and freshness. That’s why I’m a huge fan of the Verity Audio Tamino x2’s. They have a very special way of reproducing music that at once relays more information and at the same time enhances your emotional connection to your music. They glow with more detail, air, ambience… tuneful lows and refined highs. They have rhythmic pace and energy across the entire frequency range yet always sounds coherent and never unbalanced. They create a wide and open yet precise soundstage that’s shareable with others.

They’re also shareable with your living room… giving it back to you with their small size and at the same time adding a sense of modern style and aesthetic with their form design. I can’t find a single flaw in the Verity Audio Tamino x2’s. They’re not inexpensive, and certainly there’s not a cheap aspect about them; but they are extremely well crafted in every way and worth every penny. To me, they’re just perfect”

Tamino in Soundstage

February 2004 – Review by Doug Schneider

“This leads me another performance aspect of the Tamino X3. Verity speakers have a sonic signature that makes them identifiable beyond their styling, and based on the company’s longevity and success with their products, that signature must be a good thing. Do you want the Verity sound, that midrange magic displayed by the Fidelio and Parsifal? Many people do. Do you have the budget for it? If the answer to the first question is yes and the answer to the second is no, the Tamino X3 is your speaker, simple as that.”
